Protective hairstyles (Box Braids)

So lately I've been blogging about how to grow your natural hair and maintain it and in those posts I talked about embracing and experimenting with protective hairstyles to grow your hair out. 

Protective hairstyles helps reduce hair breakage, it protects your hair from the weather, gives your hair the luxury of relaxation and wellness and it's long lasting these hairstyles cab last up to six weeks and even more with proper maintenance.

There are differ types of protective hairstyles they include faux locs, box braids,  crochet braids, Havana braids, jumbo braids e.t.c but today am blogging on box braids.

Box braids are protective hairstyles that can last for 4-6 weeks and since the harmattan season is coming it's the best time to try this hairstyle because it protects your hair from cold and also grows your hair out.  Below are photos of different box braids hairstyles to try out...... 

Long length braids are really cool and fantastic I love my braids long it just gives you this boss feeling and when it's long it's easy to Style and comes out extremely beautiful after styling. 

Use black extensions and attachment it's really beautiful.

For a more daring look use bright colored extensions to braid your hair but pay attention to your skin tone while doing this so it you don't end up looking weird so use bright colors that compliments your skin colour.

Get a simple look by making the mid length medium box braid it's totally beautiful and stunning. 

The Bob box braid is totally another beautiful style to try out. 

Another way to Style Box braids is by using two colors of extension while braiding. 

And also try colours like blonde gray and white to braid your hair it's extremely beautiful and also don't forget to choose the color that complements your skin. 

Don't just leave your braids plain add ornaments to your hair to make it more beautiful.
