Natural hair is really trendy these days and everyone has questions on how to grow and maintain natural hair.
You have two options if you want to grow natural hair, that's to cut your hair or transition, I recommend transitioning, I started this journey 7 months ago and believe me it's been wonderful.
So ladies below are great tips to help you successfully transition from relaxed to natural hair.
1. Invest In Oils
The key to here is hydration, you have to constantly hydrate your hair to prevent breakage and one of the ways to do this is by moisturising, apply organic oils to your hair. Use coconut oil, castor oil, carrot oil, almond oil e.t.c but I really recommend castor and coconut oil I use them and they are perfect for transitioning.
2. Trim Your Hair Regularly
Trim your hair regularly to get rid of dead, thin and split ends, do this once or twice a month.
3. Twist Or Weave Your Hair
Weave or twist your hair at night to keep it hydrated, I do this everynight and sometimes during the day when am less busy or have no where to go, in other to retain the oils I applied to my hair to avoid dryness which leads to breakage.
4. Utilize Protective Hairstyles
To grow your natural hair try protective hairstyles like crochet, box braids, faux locks e.t.c
5. Wash Your Hair
Like I said before the key here is hydration, water is perfect for hydrating your hair so wash your hair once or twice a week to hydrate and also use shampoo and conditioner.
